Abstract Submission Guideline

not be considered.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES For Poster & Oral Presentation

  • Abstracts are invited for Poster and Oral presentations from registered delegates only.
  • Categories for abstract submission are as follows:
    • Gross Anatomy, Forensic Anatomy, Physical Anthropology & Applied Anatomy.
    • Morphology, Growth & Development, Teratology & Embryology.
    • Imaging, Museum & Embalming Techniques.
    • Genetics, Cytogenetic & Reproductive Biology.
    • Histology, Histochemistry, Cytology & Immunology.
    • Neurosciences & Endocrinology.
    • Medical Education.
  • The delegates will be asked for the registration ID at the time of abstract submission. Therefore, the delegates are requested to register before abstract submission to avoid last-minute confusion. The abstract will not be considered for review and further presentation in the event of a registration failure.
  • The official language of the Conference is English. The editorial committee will not process abstracts, which are not in English.
  • Font: Times New Roman; Font size:12
  • The abstract submitted must not have been presented at any previous conclave/ conference/seminar or published in any scientific journal. If found to be already published/presented, the abstract will be rejected.
  • The first abstract will be accepted for review if a similar abstract paper has been submitted more than once.
  • Each presenting author may submit only ONE abstract for Oral and Poster presentation each.
  • Abstracts should be submitted through the online form available on the Conference website ( https://eventscrm.smcw.edu.in/mahacon- registration/abstract-form ). Abstracts sent by any other mode (e-mail, post or fax etc.) will not be processed by the scientific committee and will not be reviewed or acknowledged.

Abstract Format:
Title: Should be in Title case, Bold Font, Font type – Times New Roman & Font size 14.

Author’s Name: Should be in capital letters, Font Size 12 and the name of Presenting Author being bold and underlined.

Affiliation: Sentence case, Font Size 12

Contents: Should contain Background, Aim of the study, Material, Methods, Results and Conclusion. It should not exceed 250 words.

Abstract Submission Closing Dates

  • The abstract submission system will close on 28th February 2023.

Review and Acceptance of Abstracts

  • The abstract will be reviewed by a panel of reviewers and will be accepted for a POSTER/ORAL presentation or sent back to the presenting author for modifications. The authors will be notified of the outcome of the review process by
    3rd March 2023 by e-mail.
  • The scientific committee reserves the right to change the presentation mode and even the categories as deemed fit.
  • The decision of the scientific committee will be regarded as final.

Guidelines for Poster presentation

  1. The dimensions of the Poster must be 3 X 4 feet.
  2. Title: Times New Roman, Font size- 55-60 pts, Bold
  3. Author(s): Full name in Times New Roman, Font size- 45-50 pts, Bold and Italics.
  4. Author(s) Affiliation: Name of the Institute, Designation and contact details in Times New Roman, Font size- 45-50 pts [Indicate the corresponding author by asterix (*) and the presenting author in bold and underlined].
  5. The poster should include Abstract/Background (preferably short), Methodology (preferably short), Results (preferably elaborate), Discussion/Future Directions (preferably short), Graphical Summary (if applicable), Ethics and Funding statements (if applicable) and References minimum 2 and not more than 5, Font size- 40-45 pts.

Guidelines for Oral Paper Presentation

  1. Title: Times New Roman, Font size- 32 pts, Bold
  2. Author(s): Full name in Times New Roman, Font size- 28 pts, Bold and Italics
  3. Author(s) Affiliation: Name of the Institute, Designation and contact details in Times New Roman, Font size- 24 pts (Indicate the corresponding author by * and the presenting author in bold and underlined)
  4. Introduction/Rationale of study, Methodology, Results, Discussion/Way forward/Novelty of the study, Font size- 24 pts
  5. The inclusion of tables, graphs, and images is highly encouraged.
  6. The presentation should be made in a PPT format.
  7. Time details: 7 mins for the presentation and 3 mins for the Q-A session.
  8. LCD projector will be provided.
  9. The presenting author has to mail the entire power point presentation compatible with Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8 to the Scientific Committee on the following email address: scientific.mahacon2023@smcw.siu.edu.in not later than 10 th March 2023. No need to bring CDs or pen drives. A backup is to be kept on the mail box or Google drive of the presenting author which can be downloaded at the conference venue if needed.
